Social Events

The Social Committee hosts a get together every 1st and 3rd Fridays at 6:00 at the clubhouse. Plan to come and meet your neighbors. It will be a good time to invite yourself to get involved and be a part of your neighborhood circle. We hope to see you there!

Lawn Care Tips

A healthy, well-maintained lawn takes time and effort. Our lovely Florida weather is enjoyed by many; including a wide variety of insects, fungi, and weeds. To maintain a nice healthy green lawn you should be fertilizing every 3 months.
If you have weeds in your lawn, consider putting a weed and feed down now to prevent a large spring bloom of them.
Plants and trees should be fertilized twice a year, in the spring and fall. Use a 12-2-14 fertilizer for palms and trees. Do not put the fertilizer on the plant or within 6 inches of the plant base.

Trees and Palms: Apply ? to 1 lb of fertilizer per inch of trunk. Do not allow fertilizer to come in contact with the trunk.
Plants: Apply 1 cup per plant around the base of the plant in a full circle

Pet Corner

Please keep your pet on a leash at all times and pick up after them.

Next time you take your beloved dog for a walk and think about ignoring that stinky pile of poop he left behind, here are some interesting facts your should know. Did you know roundworms (Toxacara canis) number two are the cause of blindness in children under 10 years of age? Did you know that hookworms (Ancylostoma caninum) could cause severe, painful, itchy skin lesions in people?. especially children and elderly? Both of these common parasites are put into the environment through animal species, mainly dogs and cats. Most heartworm preventatives, if given once a month, will help prevent your canine or feline friend from getting these parasites. But as you know nothing in life is guaranteed. So next time you pick up that pile of poop you will be helping keep your son, daughter, grandchild, friend, niece, or nephew from losing his or her sight.

Friendly Reminders

Pool-You must accompany your guests to the pool area.

Spa- A new timer has been installed to save on gas costs. Hours of operation are from 7 am to 9 pm. It is recommended that you only stay in the spa for 15 minutes.

Tree Clippings -The Grounds Committee requests that if you see dead palm fronds, please place them at the back of your home so that Waste Management will pick them up. They will not pick up trimmings at the front of your home.

Garage Doors -
Must be closed at all times unless for egress and ingress.

Parking on Street Overnight- is not allowed.

Motorcycles- are not allowed.

Costs savings-If you see the clubhouse lights on-please come by to turn them off. This saves you money in electric bills.

Hurricane Shutters

Storm shutters may be installed prior to an expected hurricane, but must be removed within 14 days after the immanent threat of a hurricane has passed. If you are going to be away during hurricane season, you must get permission to leave your shutters up for no longer than 90 days. Only clear plastic storm shutters, white storm shutters or storm shutters which are the same color as the building shall be allowed.

Architectural Request Forms:

Attached with this newsletter is a copy of the Architectural Request form that must be filled out when you do any type of material modification, addition or improvement to the outside of your home.

Please submit your form to John Simmons at 4065 Alamanda Key Dr. or give him a call at 727-0264.

Please note: If you have already installed an improvement without prior approval, such as a satellite dish, please submit your application now so that we can have it on file.

Maintenance Requests

If you have any maintenance issues, please fill out the attached maintenance request form and leave it in the drop box at the clubhouse. Bill will check the box on a daily basis. This way, items will be in writing and documented when you have a problem.
